The Amazfit Balance Ultra is the most expensive watch Amazfit has ever made, and it lands with a question attached: is $599.99 justified?

The spec sheet says yes. Grade 5 titanium, sapphire glass, a 3,000-nit AMOLED, 30 days of battery, and 50 hours of continuous GPS. But since we covered the launch in June, a month's worth of real-world usage reports has come in, and the picture is more interesting than the press release. Here's the full rundown.

Build: Premium That You Can Actually Feel

The Balance Ultra is a big watch. The case measures 51.8 x 51.8mm, and at 57g without a strap, it has real presence. Early wearers with wrists around 7 inches report it completely engulfing the wrist, though the titanium keeps it lighter than it looks, and comfort over multiple days is a non-issue.

The 1.5-inch AMOLED peaks at 3,000 nits with sapphire protection. The Ultra uses dual-band GPS across six satellite systems, paired with the new BioTracker 6.0 optical sensor (5 photodiodes, 2 LEDs). Where the Ultra shows its limits is strength training. Rep counting and muscle targeting are hit or miss. One extended test logged a full-body dumbbell session as 119 overhead triceps extensions. This is a weakness shared across nearly every smartwatch, Amazfit included, but if accurate lifting analytics are your priority, know this going in.
